frozenCPU
so…
the other day kevin and I went to frozenCPU,
and i ended up bying a fan for the qube (caspar) and a new processor heatsink for melchior (my main machine)
I had hoped to install the new heatsink and be able to overclock the proc without having to worry about heat, but its being retarded and will just randomly reboot with the processor overclocked, even to a state to which many people on the internet have reported to be fully supported and easy to do.
anyway, then i decided that the fan on caspar was too loud (what do i care, honestly, its in the living room and its not really that bad @ all)
so i tried to put some LED’s inline with the fan so they would drop its voltage some and it was working while the case was open, but everytime i screwed in the million screws and put the case back together it would break
at some point i did something and the fan wouldnt even spin up (even without any LEDs) so i said screw it
then magically it started working just like it was before i started fsking with it, so i just let it go, normal fan speed, its not that loud i decided, the air conditioner blowing is louder so its no biggie, besides, no one sleeps in the living room
well that was my worthless ramble about my heat/cooling issues
