Police group OKs shooting suicide bombers in head
police officers have been told that if they think you are a suicide bomber, to shoot you in the head, that way you can’t trigger the device (even if the device is your cellphone to call 911 cause some fucker shot you)

The police group’s guidelines also say the threat to officers does not have to be “imminent,” as police training traditionally teaches. Officers do not have to wait until a suspected bomber makes a move, another traditional requirement for police to use deadly force. An officer just needs to have a “reasonable basis” to believe that the suspect can detonate a bomb, the guidelines say.
Its a heated situation and everyone is on their nerves, but think of innocent guy who was shot in London Do we really need to tell more cops that if you might be a bomber, that they should blow your brains out.

I can’t help but think how much this sounds like a description of any number of geek, raver, or chronically shy engineers I know — none of whom are suicide bombers. Yeah, I know there’s a distributed war on. And the stakes are high for cops out there. But God help any iPod-toting, eye-contact-avoiding, sweaty nerds on the subway from user error.
