Tunguska

Tunguska

The Rotten Library has a wacky theory about the Tunguska blast as well. We theorize that you are going to hear many, many more theories about what caused the explosion before the issue is ever resolved. Tunguska has become a magnet for the adventurous imagination, among credible scientists as well as random loonies, and that isn’t likely to change any time soon.

On the bright side, we live in an age that admits to very few genuine mysteries. Tunguska is an honest-to-god mystery. It’s not a matter of interpretation (like the Bermuda Triangle) and it can’t be simply dismissed by the skeptics. It reminds us that for all we know, there is still a hell of a lot we don’t know. If this mystery endures for the ages, would that really be so bad?

the first thing about the rotten library, is well, its from rotten. But while I take everything they say with a grain of salt, it is a much smaller grain than that which i reserve for say, Fox News.

the second, and more important thing about rotten library is how damn interesting it is. I can get stuck there for hours, reading articles about history, crime, religions, mad scientists, the occult, imagery , you name it, they got it if its interesting/weird/creepy

in fact, this blog entry took me like 25 minutes to write out because i kept getting distracted by the articles that i was finding in the library like this article on the Nazca Lines, which are definately cool

anyway, read the tunguska article, and read about it elsewhere on the internet, and then ponder why everyone doesnt know about the largest explosion to ever take place.
