Tin Foil Soldier server madness
there is going to be some down time in Tin Foil Soldier land, I am building a raid 5 array and am not quite sure how I am going to arrange the computers / storage. I am not about to make a 1.2TB array using NTFS, NetBSD doesnt seem to have any great journaling file systems for large arrays; leaving a Linux variant.
I love netBSD, so will probably stay with that for my main website server, but the thing is since i bought a new desktop, the old desktop is going to replace one of my servers. I don’t really need a 2Ghz domain controller, but it would be a nice upgrade for my 600Mhz webserver.
So.. I think I decided while I was writing this, my oldest laptop is to be my new primary domain controller, a netBSD box for tinfoilsoldier.com, and a gentoo box for my raid array and gallery.tinfoilsoldier.com
