Basic Input Output System
So I haven’t been posting much lately.
One of the main reasons is cause I borked my desktop computer for a few days. I was trying to flash the bios, from within windows (stupid), while defragmenting the hard drive (even stupider) and windows blue screened.
Basically, I turned my computer into a $1500 space heater. Asus was pretty cool about it, and for $20 (only for shipping) they overnighted me a new bios chip. I installed it yesterday during my lunch break and all is well.
I have also been very busy since it is the end of the semester, I am working on finishing up my Systems Administration 3 practical. We have 2 clusters of high availability MySQL servers and some domain controllers, all running in VMWare. The clusters are running, Wordpress and Gallery2 because they use mysql and are so easy to get up and running!
So.. We are presenting out practical today and then I should be back to my regular posting (besides the fact that I have someone to keep me busy other than my friend the internets)
