in which i change my away message

my away message has been “back, and pissed off as all hell” since i got back from our trip.

while I am still pissed off, I think i am now accepting the inevitable, and admitting that it is gone and I am not going to find my axim or the pictures stored on it.

It will wipe itself if you don’t enter the correct password, and a hard reset is the only way to get rid of the password anyway, which wipes everything on it anyway

I called the Irma hotel and crappy restaurant, no luck there

called the Cody Days Inn

called the Shell Creek Visitor’s Center

called Yellowstone Lost and Found

tore apart the car, several times

we stopped were we last saw it on the way back, it was like 1am, pitch black on the mountain pass of Big Horn National Park, and there was a muddy SUV parked at the sight seeing pull off, with no one in it or anywhere to be found.

we finally got the courage to get out of the car and look, but nothing

I reported it stolen/missing to Dell and they red-flagged my service tag so that someone can’t take advantage of the “you break it we fix it” warranty it still has. All I need is the broken device and I could get a new one, even if we found it after it had rained.

I posted on craig’s list in WY

I don’t know what else to do

if anyone as any ideas as to where to check for a “lost and found” on the internet, that would be awesome

since the Axim was the only device besides my camera that reads CF, it was how i got pictures off the camera and onto the computer, so i haven’t uploaded or even looked at any of the pictures that I took on the CF card after I lost my axim

“gone, but not forgotten”
