Unfortunately as soon as I post this my blog will no longer be valid XHTML because wordpress is inserting an extra </p> right before the </blockquote> that first of all, is not allowed inside a blockquote, and second of all, has never been initialized with a <p>
Also, firefox’s spell check doesnt work in the Rich Text Editor, and the spell check that is built in thinks EVERYTHING is ALWAYS spelled correctly.
the only way to fix this is to disable the RTE entirely, add a <p>, save it, and then delete the <p>
