Boing Boing severely behind on the times
Boing Boing: Enormous Superbowl prank (hoax?): 2350 lights smuggled in
John Hargrave, author of Prank the Monkey, supposedly planned and executed an incredible stunt to promote his book: he smuggled 2,350 lights into the Superbowl, distributed them through the audience, then had them all turned on at the same time, spelling out a secret message.
I don’t think it was a hoax, but I did read about it quite some time ago.

Well, it wasn’t really a hoax, they are calling it a hack…but I think it’s more of a prank.
I have no idea what the secret message is though…it is so blurry you can’t read it. I’m sure I could find someone who posted it some where…but eh.
