Alton Brown
Alton Brown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brown suffered a motorcycle crash outside of Las Vegas. His only injury was a broken clavicle. This injury was caught on camera and was shown in episode 4. Brown wrote on his website that “it was a low charisma event. No flames, no smoke… just a lot of dust and discomfort…”
The quote above is a perfect example of why wikipedia is so awesome. I was reading this page about Alton Brown, host of Good Eats, and my favorite Food Network personality when I saw that he broke his clavicle. What is a clavicle? I think its in the shoulder, but who can be sure. On wikipedia I can just click the word that someone already linked and boom, article about the clavicle!
Anyway…
I like Alton Brown because he understands and explains the science of cooking. I think that once I properly understand the science of why food, or recipes work, then I can cook without a recipe, or at least better understand why I need whatever in my whatever or it will not work.
