dooce: Moving forward
dooce: Moving forward
The majority of my time yesterday was lost on the kitchen cabinets. Every time I would wipe down a shelf I would look over to see how many more shelves there were to clean, and I am not even kidding, they would magically multiply right in front of my eyes. The more shelves I cleaned, the more there were to clean. I don’t remember ever having that many shelves in that kitchen, and I know for a fact that there were many times that we ran out of room and had to store bags of Doritos in our bed. Next to my mouth.
Dooce is getting funnier and funnier, i swear.
also, I will be moving soon and I know the sentiment of that post. I have lived in my apartment for 3 years now, before that 1 year in the dorms and my entire life up to that point I lived in 1 house. I have alot of crap, and I don’t know what to do with it, or with myself when it comes time to start a whole new routine all over again.

I like moving, though. It brings about a change in scenery…no more staring at the same walls all the time. Plus (the best part) it forces you to go through all your stuff and toss out crap you don’t need/want. It also allows you to clean all the cob webs and dust that builds up over time…which is another plus! Well, that’s my opinion, anyway.

The downside, obviously, is that with a full time job, you’re too tired to do anything when you come home. After you do get home, the remaining time of the day whizzes by too quickly to do anything anyway. Then, before you know it, it’s already 11 PM and time to go to bed. I guess the only solace is a nice, hot cup of delicious coffee. Speaking of which, your coffee pot makes better coffee than the one at my apartment!
