USATODAY, i declare BS
Is TV’s ‘Fat March’ out of step? - USATODAY.comThe participants, whose initial weight ranged from roughly 230 to 519 pounds, began by completing 65 miles in eight days of walking over a two-week period.
On the second episode, when contestants were walking about 10 miles a day, several complained about aching knees, feet and ankles.
Um, they are obese people. OF COURSE it is going to hurt a little if they start exercising. Also, USA Today’s explanation of what was going on is pretty misleading. The entire story tries to make it seem as though they were torturing the people. “Possible stress fractures” well hell, I have “possible stress fractures” from typing this, cry me a river.
