Genuine courage lies on a mean between cowardice and recklessness. Excellences of character generally follow the same pattern, each lying between extremes of excess and deficiency, as Aristotle observes.
I was trying to find a good quote for some things that were said in business ethics and ended up finding this analysis of Harry Potter that summed it up nicely.
