Dumb Math Tests a Canadian Thing
Like all winners who live in Canada, the 17-year-old resident of Mississauga, Ontario, had to answer a math question to claim his prize. The question — ostensibly a test of the winner’s mathematical skills — was typical of today’s Canadian product sweepstakes: Multiply 90 by 2, divide by 6 and multiply by 12. The answer? 360, as in Xbox 360.

This all started via Starbucks sweepstakes requires Canadians to answer math question. - Boing Boing
If a resident of Canada is selected as a winner, they will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a timed, mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered by Marden- Kane, Inc. either by mail, telephone, e-mail, or fax (at its sole discretion) before the awarding of the prize.
I guess a stupid math question turns a game of chance into a game of very little skill, but skill an um, infant, yeah, an infant doesn’t have.
