The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008)

We went to see The Spiderwick Chronicles last night at the Tinseltown IMAX at 9pm.  Apparently it was not a popular time to go to the movies, because the 4 people in my group had the entire theater to ourselves.  12,000 watts of audio, 10 stories of screen, all just for us.

We were talking while we were waiting, and decided that it probably cost the theater money to show us the movie for only $42.

Either way it was a good movie.  There was some cheese factor in the beginning, and certain parts of the characters were never fully explained or developed, which was weird but okay.  It was nicer than some of the children’s fantasy movies because it seemed like a complete story.  There was no “time’s up, end the movie” kind of plot holes that I have seen lately either.

Overall:
The movie was good, but I don’t think it was worth 10.50, even if we did have the entire theater to ourselves.
