What I’m Listening to

I listen to alot of music, but lately it has been mostly country music.

I listened to Sugarland - Stay every day driving to and from work.  At 3 minutes into the song I always would start singing louder and feeling stronger.  I didn’t actually know the song was from the point of the mistress until much later, but the song is still powerful.

After I got past the sad stage, I was angry, and started listening to Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight.  The whole CD is awesome, but when I just need to rock out I listen to track 04, Bleed It Out.

I think I am getting past being angry, and I started listening to Garth Brooks - Unanswered Prayers yesterday.  The link goes to a YouTube video of a guy singing an acapella cover of the song, but the kid/guy is awesome and does a fairly good job of getting the point across.  The version of the song that really just speaks to me is the live version off of the Double Live cd set.  With the crowd singing in the background with him, it is just awesome.

Some “classics” that I started listening to again:

Something Corporate - Konstantine this song is just really calming to listen to, I also like Walking By

New Found Glory - Ballad For The Lost Romantics is a great song to just blast (only live performances on youTube, so the audio is crappy)

Good Charlotte - The Truth isn’t exactly an “I’m over him” song, but its still a good song

Dashboard Confessional - Swiss Army Romance the unplugged version, because in reality, the entire Unplugged set is awesome, The Best Deceptions, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, Again I Go Unnoticed to name a few.
