Politics and Music

The US has them. I don’t really have the energy to address them though; so go to towelroad or joe. my. god. for your fix.

Kevin started listening to happy hardcore trance again lately, so I dived back into my music collections for some trance / house music that I also enjoy.

I think the hardest part about listening to house dance music is that there are a billion different versions of every song. The only way to really find new music that you like is to listen to it all and then decide. I think part of it might be that I am not deep enough into the “scene” to know how to find music that I will like, but with “mainstream” music it is just so much easier. You like a song, you probably like the artist’s other songs. Dance music doesn’t work like that for me, or at least not in a way I understand.

Right now I am listening to: Flip & Fill feat Junior - Pacific Sun (Lullaby)
I found a bunch of different versions of the song on youtube, but not the same one that I have off the Rock the Dance Floor 9 CD.

This club mix feature’s Junior, but I don’t think I like how it was changed.

However, this club mix would probably be incredible to see live

Just from looking at the comments on the videos I found, there is apparently lots of drama even in the hardcore scene, with people bitching that people shouldn’t remix songs after someone else remixed them because they think the other person did it better. Whatever.

I wonder if my neighbors noticed that the bass coming from our apartment has been louder and harder hitting as of late.
