So I basically forgot that I never ended the Jetta saga on here.
Last Thursday I called again to check on the status of my car. A different guy answered the phone so I explained my situation so he might know which car was mine (and possibly understand the whole sucky situation). He said he would look into it and then called me back in a little bit to tell me that they decided to cover it under warranty and that my car could be picked up shortly. A friend took me to the dealership after work so I could pick up my car. They somehow misplaced the keys so it took ~20 minutes to pick up my car but I was so glad it didn’t cost me a ridiculous 540$ that I didn’t even care.
So now I forget the service guy’s name who helped me but he was new and got to the bottom of the situation for me so I wish him the best.

Congratulations on getting your car back. Glad things worked out for you. It didn’t seem good there for a while.
