I ordered this last night so that the CAT 5e that I ran @ the house can be properly terminated at the networking area in the basement.
The current problem is that there really isn’t any great places to put a server rack in the new house. I think the laundry room will end up being where they go, but the furnace / AC / hot water heater / washer / dryer / sump pump are all there as well. The temp / humidity changes might be a concern in that area but I don’t think it really will be. In the workshop, we have the issue of dust from any wood working / etc to be concered with as well. I also am going to need a bigger / additional gigabit switch, the 5 port one I have just isn’t gonna cut it
