I mean, i love comments, and Hanuman is one of the few people that comments mildly often (besides myself, i love to hear myself talk), but lately i have been getting more and more comment spam.
It sorta pisses me off, but mostly, it makes me happy on the inside, because if the bots [...]

I, in some 4am braindead attempt to fix something, deleted /lib from the server.
/lib is libraries, libraries that tell ALL OTHER PROGRAMS HOW TO DO THINGS!
so… once they were gone, there was not copy, move, delete, rename, hell, there wasnt even a “shutdown” or a “reboot”
so i went to the server rack (the [...]

My Sitemap
I found a wordpress plugin that autogenerates a sitemap every time i update my website
basically it generates a list of ALL of my URL’s, and tells google how often they are updated, and also sorta pings google whenever my site is updated.
If you have a static site, google has some info on how to [...]

plus…!!!
it was supposed to have a gig of RAM as well, but apparently I put 3×256M sticks, and 1×128M stick, so I will have to swap that @ some point, [...]

i updated the the newest version of wordpress, and along with some fixes, it means that I got rid of the code that creates static html copies of the dynamically created pages so it can serve them up faster.
The page should be alot faster than before, but if it seems like its slower, [...]

DNS should be fully propogated, and theTTL is up for any cached lookups, so that means that all requests for www.tinfoilsoldier.com and tinfoilsoldier.com should be coming to this computer (seele) instead of caspar.
everything should work? if something doesnt let me know
Posted by justin in Computers, caspar, seele | Comments Off
if you can see this, then your DNS is properly updated
I moved my main webpage from caspar to seele, and its about 10 times faster
Everything should be moved properly, the only thing left to do is wait for dns to update so that everyone see’s this page instead of the old one, and then I [...]
